Well, it has been quite a while since my last update. A LOT of things have been going on.
I started and completed my first summer session at St. Philip's College in San Antonio, and I have started my 2nd summer session. I have a 4.0 GPA, and LOVE learning. I took Human Anatomy & Physiology I and Life-Span Development Psychology in the 1st semester, and I am taking Human Anatomy & Physiology II this semester.
I just submitted my application to the vocational nursing program at St. Philip's today, and I'm actually a bit nervous about getting in. They told me that they have received upwards of 30 applications, and they're only taking 20 students, so they may end up doing interviews to pick them, and I SUCK at interviews. But on the plus side, I have already completed 3 of the fall courses, and I have a high GPA.
Micah will be 3 in about 2.5 weeks, and his birthday party is in about 3. We are doing a double party with his cousin, Corey, because their birthday's are only a week apart. So instead of having two separate parties and making our families set aside two weekends to attend each party, we are doing it all in one. It's going to be a luau theme, and I think the boys are going to LOVE it! We are going to have slip-and-slides, kiddie pools, hot dogs, cupcakes and ice cream, and a pinata! Micah gets easier and easier to understand everyday. His vocabulary is expanding at a rapid rate, and some days I wonder if he is smarter than me!
Elijah is now 9 months old! At his 9 month check up, he was 18 pounds, 1 ounce and around 27 inches long. He's on the smaller end of the scale for his age, but he's still relatively normal. He will probably end up being smaller like me. He pulls up on everything - he would rather stand than sit or be held - and he cruises around the tables, couch, anything that he can balance on, really. I know he'll be walking before I know it. He babbles like crazy now, and he has his two bottom teeth! The top two seem to be coming in too, but they haven't cut yet.
My computer broke down at the beginning of this month - ruined hard drive - so I have had to survive on library computers, labs at the school, and my in-law's and grandparents-in-law's computer to keep me up to date on my internet courses and such. But I finally got it back yesterday, so I'm happy.
One of these days, I'll get some new pictures posted of the boys, but until then, take care!
